Aurea Mask

My Roots

A love for African masks has been a part of my life since birth. This passion has been passed down through my family for three generations; my grandfather collected these expressive wooden faces as symbols of spirituality and craftsmanship.

Aurea Mask was born out of this deep fascination. It is my studio, where I unite traditional mask art with contemporary luxury. I personally select each mask from dealers in Germany I have trusted for years, and then I bring them to my workshop.

There, their second life begins.

The Craftsmanship

I dedicate days—sometimes weeks—of meticulous work to each individual mask. A multi-layered gilding with high-quality metal leaf brings out its warm shimmer, while hand-set, sparkling crystals emphasize its relief. Finally, multiple layers of clear varnish protect the surface. Each piece is numbered and comes with a Hahnemühle certificate and a hologram that reveal its unique story and symbolism. This is how a one-of-a-kind piece, signed by me, is crafted—designed to elevate spaces and radiate a special energy.

The Vision

I believe that true luxury objects can simultaneously tell a story, embody craftsmanship, and inspire their owner. Each Aurea Mask preserves the original symbolic power of its African people, and through my finishing, it becomes a luminous work of art that enriches spaces not just aesthetically, but also energetically. My mission is to make this fascination tangible and to pass it on. In this way, each mask becomes a personal legacy that honors its origins and, at the same time, begins a new story—your story.
